TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE:
* Support the Supply Chain Support Manager on all projects, including data extraction and analysis, supplier quote obtainment, and commercial negotiations.
* Manage supplier relationships against agreed service levels and financial commitments, ensuring performance standards are met.
* Actively contact suppliers via phone and email to chase open orders, resolve discrepancies, and correct order issues in a timely manner.
* Provide first‑level support to Customer Services teams, handling escalations relating to supplier performance and service issues.
* Obtain commodity pricing from suppliers on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis; analyse trends and negotiate improvements where applicable.
* Produce accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to support the Senior Management Team in decision‑making.
* Conduct regular market analysis to keep the team informed of changes in pricing, supplier activity, and market dynamics.
* Support pricing activities for new and existing services to ensure maximum value is achieved at all times.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO:
* Previous experience within Waste & Recycling industry/Supply Chain industry would be desirable.
* Previous Key Account Management/Account Service/Supplier Management experience would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Ability to work in a pressurised and highly time‑sensitive environment.
* Proven attention to detail skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
* Computer literate with excellent PC skills (Excel – look‑ups, formulas), Microsoft packages.
Shift patterns: Monday‑Friday. Day time hours (08:00‑17:00). Contract Type: Permanent (Full‑time). Free on‑site parking. 25 days annual leave.
