We're recruiting an IMI Level 2 qualified mechanic at Derby Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £45-50k including overtime.
Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:30; week 2: 07:30 - 16:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off).
Responsibilities
* Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
* Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy goods vehicles.
* Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
What we’re looking for
* Qualified mechanic: Fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 2 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent). Own toolkit for standard repairs.
* Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles (e.g., LCV/HGV).
* Driving: Valid UK driving licence. HGV/FLT licence would be advantageous.
* Work standards: High working standards and pride in delivering quality work.
* Flexibility: Able to work on a flexible shift rota and support the team as needed.
