PURPOSE OF ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Senior Copywriter (Pensions) to join our content team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pensions, including SIPPs (Self-Invested Personal Pensions), retirement planning, and pension regulations. You will be responsible for producing clear, engaging, and authoritative content that helps investors understand their pension options, make informed decisions, and navigate complex pension rules with ease. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing our reputation as a go-to destination for pensions content. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES: Write and edit high-quality articles, guides, and reports on pensions and retirement planning. Simplify complex pension topics into accessible, engaging, and informative content. Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with UK pensions regulations and guidelines. Work closely with internal teams, including compliance, marketing, and product specialists, to ensure consistency and alignment with ii’s strategy. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments to keep content fresh and relevant. Collaborate with external contributors, subject matter experts, and industry professionals to enhance content quality and credibility. Optimise content for SEO and audience engagement, using best practices in digital publishing. Requirements SKILLS & EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Essential: Proven experience writing about pensions, SIPPs, and retirement planning, ideally for a financial services company, media publication, or regulatory body. Strong understanding of UK pension rules, tax implications, and retirement investment strategies. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to simplify technical content for a broad audience. Familiarity with FCA guidelines and compliance considerations for financial content. Experience in SEO, digital content publishing, and audience engagement strategies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial writing. Desirable: A background in financial journalism, financial planning, or investment writing. Ability to analyse pension-related data, trends, and policy updates to create insightful content. Recognised financial qualifications such as CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualifications, Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or similar credentials. Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
