Contract Type: Permanent All Year round Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break Number of positions: 1 Start Date: 1st September 2025 Salary: £24,027 per annum About the Candidate We are looking for someone to join our team, who: NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent. Practical knowledge of child development and child related issues. An awareness of the play principles. Experience of working with children and parents, and planning, initiating, organising and developing play. Ability to liaise effectively with others involved in working with children across the whole age range of centre users. Ability and willingness to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures. To communicate in a helpful and sensitive manner with children and adults Ability to identify and meet children’s needs both individually and within a group using the Birth to three Matters framework and the Foundation Stage Curriculum. The ability to record information accurately Willingness to abide by the City Council’s ‘No Smoking’, ‘Harassment at Work’, ‘Equal Opportunities' and other policies. Team working skills.
