We are looking for a talented and experienced Market Data Python Developer for one of our global Investment Banking Clients. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining cutting-edge quantitative tools and infrastructure used by our front-office traders and other teams.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
1. Be a self-starter and plan/schedule your own work for tasks and projects, implementing functionality without direct supervision.
2. Partner with development teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals, and identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
3. Resolve high-impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business and system processes, and industry standards.
4. Develop knowledge of system flow and adopt best practices for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
5. Gain comprehensive knowledge of how different areas of the bank, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to achieve business goals.
6. Work with the team to define architecture, design, develop, review code, test, and maintain applications.
7. Enforce a culture of inclusivity and uphold company values.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a quantitative emphasis in mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
3. Experience with pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scipy, and web frameworks like Flask or FastAPI is a plus.
4. Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.
5. Previous experience in front-office roles or risk systems is a plus.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
7. Experience with version control systems like Git.
