Business Development Director
Location - Flexible UK/EU
In this role, you'll be stepping into a dynamic scale-up environment pushing the boundaries with robotics and 3D laser printing for an innovative automation solution. This solution is poised to revolutionise product development and manufacturing within the Aerospace and Electric Vehicle sectors. You will be a strategic leader and an execution-focused operator, driving revenue growth, expanding margins through solutions sales, leading customer negotiations, closing deals and building long-term customer relationships. You will bring and develop an extensive network including senior and C-Level executives to gain access to key customer targets.
Drive Sales Pipeline and New Business Acquisition
~ Lead efforts to build and convert a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent growth through new business opportunities.
Develop and Maintain Account Plans
~ Create and manage strategic account plans in coordination with Customer Success and cross-functional teams.
Lead Bid Development
~ Initially draft bid content with team support, transitioning to collaboration with the Proposals Team upon its establishment.
Collect, organise, and share key customer insights and data to inform and support internal teams across the organisation.
Assist the CMO and CCO in strategic planning, performance tracking, and preparation of business reports.
Process Development and Team Leadership
~ Lead the establishment, recruitment, and training of the Market and New Business Development Team.
CRM Implementation and Management
~ Support the specification, rollout, and ongoing management of the customer relationship management (CRM) system to enhance sales and customer engagement processes.
Track record in Market Development, New Business Development, or Key Account Management within a physical product industry
Experience managing multiple concurrent technical projects
Experience in sales management, including performance tracking and target achievement
Background in wire harness equipment or contract manufacturing, or closely related industries
Experience in recruiting and building new teams
