As Senior Manager: Joint Commissioning, you will play a key role in the Education Division in Children’s Services. Our Education Division exists to champion children and young people, especially those who are vulnerable to underachievement. Ambitious and innovative, we seek to transform system wide commissioning in East Sussex, building strong partnerships across education and health. This is a jointly funded role with NHS Sussex and you will report into both organisations.
We’ll look to you to lead and develop our strategies and framework for joint commissioning of education and health provision and services for children and young people with SEND. You’ll identify areas of need and commission services who can meet the challenge of change. Working in collaboration with a broad range of partners and navigating different systems in education and health you will maximize the impact of our commissioned work. In everything you do, you’ll seek the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
This role requires someone with leadership experience, who can inspire others and deliver our vision. You will be driven by a strong moral purpose and demonstrate exactly what it takes to engage and influence partners from across the diverse education and health landscape. Experience of strategic commissioning and of working with senior leaders in education or health is essential. You will have extensive experience and understanding of services for children with SEND. As a leader, you foster a culture of empathy and curiosity, in which customer insight drives quality and leads to excellent outcomes.
