Microsoft Solution Architect – Critical Infrastructure

Contract | Onsite 1–2 days/week | Warwick

Start date: after BPSS clearance

Applicants must be English nationals and eligible for BPSS.


We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Solution Architect to help shape the electricity network of the future. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role with real-world impact, supporting the journey to Net Zero and beyond.

What you will do

* Lead solution architecture for key power system design applications and contribute to the Digital Twin strategy.
* Drive execution of enterprise architecture strategies and value stream initiatives.
* Design and implement secure, cost-effective digital solutions to optimise electricity network planning across England and Wales.
* Collaborate across teams to integrate systems and data for advanced modelling, simulation, correlation, and visualisation.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

1. Develop high-level and detailed architectures, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies for power system applications (e.g., Power Factory).
2. Size and configure virtual applications on Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
