Employment Associate/ Senior Solicitor/ Lawyer | REMOTE working | blended In-House/Law firm | £65k - £80k DOE
My client is a progressive and unique People services business who offer HR, Corporate and Legal services to over 1500 clients.
They are a successful and rapidly expanding business, who are part of a larger group, and are always looking for better ways to achieve success for their clients, and the firm. They are looking to expand their already successful Employment team with an experienced employment solicitor/lawyer.
The firm adopts a non-traditional approach by blending in-house culture with some law firm processes, fostering a strong working culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an employment solicitor seeking REMOTE working within a modern blended in-house environment.
The role:
You will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of employment law including routine employment-related guidance and representation in Employment Tribunal cases and other contentious employment matters. You will manage multiple files and clients, often leading on matters including:
* Employment Tribunal litigation, including preparing and responding to claims, drafting witness statements, and conducting advocacy (at least at the preliminary hearing stage)
* Offering day-to-day employment and HR advice to managers, HR teams, and senior executives/board members.
* Drafting employment contracts, policies, and related documents
* Advising on disciplinary issues, grievance procedures, and conducting investigations
* Negotiating and drafting settlement agreements
* Corporate support from an employment aspect
* GDPR and data protection advise for employers
* Support the expansion of the team and development of the Employment and HR practice.
* Provide support/guidance to junior members in the team
Who you are:
* Min of 4 - 8 ++ years PQE /OR equivalent experience of employment law
* Broad experience in Employment matters including Employment Tribunal experience
* Experience of advocacy at preliminary hearing stage
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent relationship building skills
* Technically competent
* Team player
* Capable of conveying complex information clearly
* Business focused with a consultative approach
* Strong sense of accountability
* Integrity and trustworthiness
