Your new role As an Offshore Geotechnical Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the delivery of offshore and marine projects, supporting renewable energy developments, subsea infrastructure, and offshore assets. You will be involved across all stages of the project lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning and interpretation of offshore geotechnical site investigations
2. Geotechnical analysis and design of offshore foundations, cables, and subsea structures
3. Preparation and review of geotechnical reports, calculations, and specifications
4. Numerical modelling and assessment of soil–structure interaction
5. Collaborating with structural, civil, and marine engineering teams
6. Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
7. Providing technical input to internal and client-facing project meetings
What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you will have:
8. A degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
9. Experience working in offshore geotechnical engineering or marine projects
10. Strong understanding of offshore ground investigation techniques and soil mechanics
11. Experience using geotechnical analysis and design software
12. Knowledge of relevant offshore design standards and guidance
13. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
14. Working towards, or already achieved, professional chartership (ICE, IGSE, or similar)
