About the role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Loss Cost Modelling team within the Pricing Department. You will lead the development, implementation, and testing of General Insurance pricing models, ensuring they meet business requirements and standards. Your focus will be on maintaining market competitiveness and pricing accuracy through effective control cycles.
Your responsibilities include planning and defining pricing models for specific market sectors, developing control cycles for regular testing and updates, and collaborating with Underwriting to apply market insights to rate setting. You will also identify and test data to improve model performance, challenge existing processes, and build collaborative relationships with relevant teams. Leading, motivating, and supporting any direct reports will be part of your role.
About you:
You should have a strong background in general insurance pricing, hands-on experience with building and refining models, and proficiency in Emblem. Experience in peer reviews, market sector expertise, and understanding of pricing best practices are essential. You must be skilled in stakeholder management and communication, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
