As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our close-knit team at Napier School, part of Options Autism.
About the Role
The Assistant Headteacher will take lead responsibility for ensuring the best possible curriculum offer, provision, well-being, progress, and achievement for all pupils through careful monitoring and holding staff to account for the progress their pupils make.
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher who is looking for the chance to bring innovation and creativity to inspire learning in an SEN environment for pupils with varied needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding, and you will be the custodian of our strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in decisions.
In partnership with our Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will deliver clear, authentic leadership to our multidisciplinary team, establish school aims and objectives, ensure high quality and compliance, and develop individualised programmes of learning for our pupils.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
* Experience with the Ofsted framework and inspections
* Experience working with pupils/young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and challenging behaviours
* Experience managing staff
* Experience leading curriculum areas
* Ability to motivate teams and individuals
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
* QTS or QTLS
* Nationally Recognised Degree
* NPQ or working towards it
