Multi-skilled Operative
Location: Ilford
Contract: Full Time Permanent
Salary up to £38,703.26 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card & OOH rota 1- 5 weeks
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in Ilford you will be carrying out a variety of property maintenance tasks, including painting, plastering, brickwork, carpentry, tiling, silicone/mastic works, groundworks and minor plumbing in tenanted properties. The role requires a delivering high-quality repairs and installations across domestic properties.

We’re looking for someone reliable, skilled across multiple trades, and passionate about getting the job done right the first time.
Duties:
1. Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across Occupied social housing properties
2. Paintingfull rooms including ceilings, walls, doors and pipework.
3. Patch repairs, plasterboard installation, skimming and hole repairs. Dot and dab for securing plasterboard.
4. General brick repairs, pointing and minor concrete works.
5. Cleaning and treating mould-affected areas.
6. Installing bath panels, skirting boards, kitchen cabinets, boxing in pipework, and banisters.
7. Wall tiling in bathrooms and kitchens.
8. Removal and replacement of silicone in bathrooms.
9. Reinstating grass areas and reseeding.
10. Minor plumbing repairs including drainage, unblocking sinks, and ball valve replacements.
11. Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
12. Reporting any further works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond scope
13. Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes
14. Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
15. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
16. Manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets
Role Criteria:
17. Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance.
18. Core trade in Carpentry or Plumbing
19. Experience in Plastering, Tiling, Decorating Mould Wash and Ground Works
20. Full UK driving licence
21. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
22. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
23. Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
24. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
25. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
