Initiate haulier cost reviews, including negotiations with pricing teams. Ensure all costs are entered accurately and in a timely manner into the TMS system. Manage hauliers, including quality monitoring and handling non-conformances. Ensure processes between the different sections of the department are coherent and effective to support strong productivity. Work alongside the Automotive Warehouse Supervisor to ensure cohesion between office and warehouse process requirements. Be responsible for interoffice operational cooperation (e.g., Transport Department, Exports, Customer Solutions, Imports, and Finance). Act as an escalation point for any haulier disputes that may occur within the department. Organise and manage express orders. Carry out general export and import planning. Key Competencies and Skills: Strong organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and under own initiative. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to work under pressure. Strong problem-solving abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a European Freight Forwarding (Road) environment. Educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade, or equivalent; grade A–C. Previous planning experience with European haulage is essential. Previous experience in the automotive sector would be an advantage but is not essential; the role involves working with major European car manufacturers.
