About the Role:
Our client who is a specialist in prefabricated solutions is seeking a Junior SHEQ Advisor to join their team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising and assisting the SHEQ function to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and to help maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.
This standalone role offers significant exposure across multiple sites, with occasional travel required to offices across the UK and abroad for training and client meetings. Full training and guidance will be provided to support career development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures.
Carry out risk assessments and safety audits.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations.
Maintain records of audits, inspections, incidents, and training.
Work closely with management to promote a strong safety culture.
Keep up to date with legislation and best practice.
Liaise with clients and represent the business in meetings.
Assist in the preparation of related documents for tenders.
Contribute to the development of the company’s SHEQ strategy.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Relevant qualification, IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
Knowledge of regulations, standards, and ISO frameworks.
Familiarity with EHS Management Systems and compliance schemes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and competence in report writing.
Ability to produce and present reports and audits.
