I am partnering with a high-growth retail subsidiary of a major US PLC to find a versatile IT Support & Data Systems Analyst. This is a rare "hybrid" role for a technical professional who thrives on variety: balancing hands‑on infrastructure support with a deep passion for Data Architecture and SQL.
As the second hire in a lean UK team, you will act as the digital "bridge" between warehouse operations and high-level financial reporting. You aren’t just fixing PCs; you are ensuring that data flows seamlessly from the stockroom to the boardroom.
Key Responsibilities
* Source of Truth: Manage and evolve data flows from on-prem SQL and Cloud resources.
* Financial Automation: Work directly with the Finance Director to automate complex processes like revenue reconciliation, margin analysis, and marketplace settlements.
* The Power BI Suite: Build and maintain sophisticated dashboards for senior management (DAX, data modelling, and visualisation).
Systems Integration & Digital Transformation
* The "Google" Move: Support the business-wide transition from MS Stack/Excel to a Google Workspace environment.
* Integration Management: Support the digital links between the ERP, Warehouse Management (WMS), and E-commerce platforms using APIs and basic scripting.
* Infrastructure: Provide 1st–3rd line support across the business, covering everything from PC hardware and cabling to firewalls and backups.
What We Are Looking For
* The SQL Core: You must have 2+ years of commercial experience with Microsoft SQL Server (querying, joins, and reading/writing stored procedures). This is a non-negotiable requirement.
* Professional Maturity: At least 2 years in a professional corporate environment. You are a self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding.
* Technical Versatility: A "start-up" mindset. You are equally comfortable configuring a firewall or troubleshooting a handheld scanner as you are building a complex data model.
* The Stack: Familiarity with Azure Entra, Google Enterprise, and API-based integrations.
* Domain Knowledge: Experience in Retail, Logistics, or Warehouse Management (WMS) is highly desirable.
* Mobility: Willingness to work 4 days on-site across our Central London (Spitalfields) office and our Northamptonshire (Brackley) distribution centre.
The 6-Month Roadmap
* Months 0–2: Deep dive into the ERP data model and lead the migration of legacy Excel workflows into Google Sheets/Cloud.
* Months 3–5: Deliver "quick win" automations for carrier invoices to reduce manual finance workloads.
* Month 6+: Document all system integrations to prepare the business for a future large-scale ERP transformation.
On Offer
* Stability & Growth: A permanent role in a business backed by a US PLC, with a clear path toward data leadership.
* Compensation: Competitive base salary + paid overtime.
* Perks: 25 days holiday + your Birthday off, monthly staff lunches, and a generous friends/family discount scheme.
* Well-being: Comprehensive counselling and support programs.
Interview Process
* Stage 1: Virtual interview with the Head of IT Ops & Finance Director (Technical & Soft Skills).
* Stage 2: Live SQL Test (Screen-shared) to verify your depth in querying and stored procedures.
* Stage 3: In-person meeting with the MD to discuss culture, maturity, and long-term vision.
