Then look no further...LGV MechanicSalary – £32,454 - £39,920Hours – 45 hours per week, start and finish time to be agreedLocation & Postcode – Central Bedfordshire, MK41 0QSAs an LGV Mechanic at FCC Environment, you will work as part of the FCC workshop team, ensuring that all vehicle maintenance and repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legislation and company procedures. You will be expected to complete all work to an acceptable standard, contribute to continuous improvement, and support the safe operation of waste vehicles across the contract.This vacancy is for a full-time position.Our promise to you- Competitive salary- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays- Pension scheme- Life insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On-the-job training and progression- Recognition scheme- Refer a friend- Flexible benefits, including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership (where applicable)- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing PlatformWhat will you be doing?- Carrying out maintenance and repair tasks on LGV and waste vehicles within the FCC workshop- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety rules, procedures and statutory regulations- Using the correct tools, equipment and PPE for all tasks and reporting any unsafe conditions- Completing all relevant paperwork, worksheets and records accurately and on time- Participating in ongoing training to remain competent and skilled in the role- Ensuring all operations are legally compliant and aligned with quality and environmental management systems- Working effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative when required- Maintaining a professional approach with excellent timekeeping and flexibility to meet contract demandsWhat are we looking for?- Previous experience working as an LGV Mechanic- Experience working with waste vehicles- Full UK driving licence- LGV Class 2 driving entitlement- Safety-conscious approach at all times- Good computer skills, including the use of Excel and electronic equipment- Self-motivated with the ability to work within defined timescales- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues and management at all levels- Awareness of transport legislation- Flexibility with working hours to suit operational requirementsAbout usWe are FCC Environment, one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies.
