Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Summary:
The Maintenance Worker reports to the Director of Facilities & Maintenance and is responsible for coordinating work efforts and planning with the Supervisor and other staff in areas such as nursing, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, activities, accounting, office management, and Independent Living.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Use of common hand and power tools (screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, hammers) and specialized equipment including electronic testing devices.
2. Perform regular repairs of facilities and equipment.
3. Consult with the Director of Facilities & Maintenance for repairs beyond the scope of skills or time.
4. Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, storage rooms, boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and outside approaches.
6. Handle specific areas such as interior and exterior lighting, gutter and storm drain cleaning and repairs, and redecorating rental units in cooperation with Independent Living.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Maintenance.
