Job overview
We are recruiting for Clinical Site Manager, who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will provide clinical site and bed management services to ensure the effective use of the Trusts bed capacity for emergency and elective admissions. Whilst leading and developing a team of staff, promoting the development of advanced nursing and teaching skills within the hospital, ensuring the team is dedicated to delivering excellent care, throughout the patient’s journey.
You will be proactive in driving the team forward in a rapid changing environment and hold great commination skills to liaise closely with other departments within the Trust to achieve targets.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the overall management of the Hospital, to be a point of contact for all ward staff as necessary.
Provide expertise for the relevant speciality to staff, others in the directorate, patient and carers. Develop links with appropriate services.
Within the scope of professional practice recognise and develop the extended role of the nurse, encouraging and supporting others to undertake assessment to achieve this.
Be pro-active in the co-ordination of the patient journey ensuring prompt treatment and discharge.
To carry 24 hour overall responsibility for the clinical area and participate in the management of the hospital in accordance with the Trust’s Duty Coordinator policy.

Person specification
Qualifications/Training
* RGN Level 1 or Level 15 depending on whether working with adults or children.
* A Diploma in Nursing and other appropriate post basic qualifications and experience
* Degree or equivalent level of experience.
* Teaching and assessing qualification
* Post graduate level management or specialist course/s or equivalent specialist experience.
* Master’s Degree
* Qualification in speciality
Previous Experience
* Significant and proven clinical and management skills. At least 4 - 5 years experience, 2 of which must be at F Grade level within a relevant clinical field
* Advanced breadth and depth clinical skills
* Ability to utilise evidence-based practice
* Evidence of effective multi-disciplinary working. Has demonstrated leadership skills in a supervisory/team leader context
* Evidence of good team working. Demonstrates evidence of developing innovative practice and of being proactive in the management of change
* Proven experience of service development and change management.
* Experience of clinical audit/research
Skills
* Demonstrates commitment to high standards of patient care and service delivery
* Demonstrates empathy and skills in the management of personal and team relationships
* Can motivate others Has the ability to adapt to changing situations An open and supportive management style, which is culturally sensitive
* Representing Clinical Site Matron, WSCC Senior in their absence

Knowledge

* Willingness to be helped to acquire any required but currently outstanding skills in order to fulfil the role.
