We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at JLC Autos LTD. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. This role involves heavy lifting and the assembly of parts, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will be interacting with clients to understand their vehicle issues and provide effective solutions.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, etc.
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required for repairs.
* Repair or replace faulty equipment, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the workshop.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
* Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of the repair process.
* Experience in equipment repair is advantageous.
* Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work performed.
* Proven experience as a VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda technician
* Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with VAG systems
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive, problem‑solving mindset
Full UK driving license
