Job title: Breakfast & Afternoon Tea Server

Salary: £33,150
* Colleagues are eligible to choose between two work schedule options: working four days a week in 10-hour shifts or working five days a week in 8.5-hour shifts.
Your purpose will be:
You are an ambassador for exceptional service which is the hallmark of The Savoy’s breakfast & afternoon tea experience. Your warm personal attention makes guests feel unique and valued and creates enduring memories.
You will be accountable for:
1. Delivering a memorable and professional 5-star service experience
2. Advising guests through enthusiastically sharing your knowledge about our F&B offering
3. Delivering on all standards, policies and procedures to create memorable luxury guest experiences
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
4. Delivering an extraordinary service experience to the highest industry standards with a distinctive personal touch as one team
5. Assisting guests regarding menu choices in an informative and enthusiastic way
6. Taking reservations with all required details
7. Boosting our revenue through upselling and other creative initiatives
8. Sharing knowledge of offers, promotions, preparation, general hotel knowledge and Savoy stories
9. Following all safety and sanitation and COVID policies when handling food and beverage
Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role:
Essential:
10. 1-2 years of serving or hosting experience in a luxury hospitality environment
11. Passion for and understanding of 5-star hospitality and what it takes to deliver it
12. Empathetic with a talent for building rapport, and reading each guest’s desired level of interaction
13. Quick thinking, resourceful and able to solve problems ’ at the moment
14. Ability to remain calm and courteous at all times
15. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
16. Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
17. Willing to work in rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
18. Good knowledge of spoken and written English
19. Rights to work in the UK
Desirable :
20. Basic knowledge of a POS System
21. Basic knowledge of Open table
22. Industry-related certifications (i.e. WSET)
