Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Construction Superintendent (or designee), performs a variety of manual construction tasks, minor repairs, and simple project tasks including ground work and janitorial tasks; and performs related work as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Performs maintenance, repair, sanitation, and janitorial duties which may include:
1. Cleaning work area and TNHA equipment and vehicles; moving equipment, supplies, and furnishings; cleaning and washing equipment; repairing TNHA equipment; shuffling parts; equipment and documentation as directed; maintaining equipment ensuring proper care and use; operating TNHA equipment as authorized and directed; using small tools and equipment to perform tasks under supervision.
2. Performs janitorial duties on the grounds and in facilities and residential properties as assigned.
3. Maintains complete confidentiality of all information obtained through professional and client interactions.
4. Observes TNHA safety standards and regulations, policies, and procedures.
5. Communicates changes and progress, responds promptly to customer needs; meets commitments.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:
* Ability to learn programs and take training for job-specific tasks.
* Reasoning skills to include ability to solve practical problems.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* High school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) recipient. At the discretion of the hiring manager, work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, climb, or balance; kneel; crawl; talk, and hear. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to travel by small aircraft, outside weather, extreme cold, wet, or humid conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
* Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets TNHA insurance criteria.
Preferred:
* Alaskan / American Indian (member of federally recognized tribe).
* Ability to speak and/or understand conversational Inupiaq.
