The general hours of work are 40 hours per week, guaranteed. You must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends as shift patterns can vary week to week.

About the role of a VRS Fencer
A VRS (Vehicle Restraint Systems) Fencer is a skilled operative responsible for installing safety barriers along roads and motorways to protect drivers and pedestrians. These barriers include steel crash barriers, concrete systems, and parapets, all designed to prevent vehicles from leaving the carriageway during accidents.
Key Responsibilities:
8. Installing permanent, temporary, or parapet vehicle restraint systems to industry standards
9. Reading site plans and setting out lines and levels
10. Handling and securing fencing materials and components
11. Operating hand and power tools safely
12. Assisting with groundwork and foundation preparation
13. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
14. CSCS card (preferred)
15. Reliable and take pride in delivering great service.
16. Right to work in the UK unsponsored
17. Team players with a positive, can-do attitude.
18. Hold a full UK driving licence (with 6 points or fewer)
19. Flexible to work days, nights and weekends when required
20. Able to pass a drug & alcohol test and a safety-critical medical (it’s a physical job!).
What else looks good (Not essential)
21. Experience in construction or similar hands-on roles.
22. Already have some VRS knowledge? Even better!
