Overview
HV Cable Service Engineer role at NKT. Location: Scotland; role requires flexibility and willingness to travel and work at site. NKT is a global leader in high-voltage cable technology and is expanding its UK operations.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and support site work routines and service operations (Oil Filled / LPOF).
* Collaborate across departments and contribute to service meetings and reviews.
* Provide technical and commercial support to Service Sales.
* Manage service agreements, including documentation, client meetings, and inventory.
* Assist with financial tracking and invoicing.
* Support tender processes with operational input and documentation.
* Plan and execute site work with internal teams and clients.
* Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and lead risk assessments (RAMS/SJA/HAZOP/HAZID).
* Compile technical and quality reports, and contribute to lessons learned.
What You’ll Bring
* Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or extensive experience in the HV cable industry, including fluid, gas, and XLPE cable technologies.
* A proven track record of successfully delivering projects and service level agreements.
* Solid engineering experience within HV cable projects or services.
* Relevant business or technical education and knowledge.
* Ability to work effectively in multinational, multidisciplinary teams, with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Work Location and Travel
The role will be predominately based from our premises in Scotland (Central Belt) but will require flexibility and willingness to travel and work onsite. Travel days per year vary and assignment lengths can vary. The role also offers flexibility to work from home for periods agreed with your line manager. Frequent travel may be required at short notice depending on assignment and service agreement.
