Mobile Weekend Assistant Janitor
Permanent role with Ziron Environmental Services, Inc. Working 16 hours per week (Saturday & Sunday 7:30am–4:30pm) at Kirkcaldy. Please note the position is a 52‑week contract.
Responsibilities
* Assist with all janitorial duties, including cleaning and safety checks in schools and nurseries.
* Open and close schools for contractors and school lets, ensuring premises are secure at the end of the day.
* Co‑operate with personnel and agencies to maintain the security of the premises.
* Respond to emergency call‑outs, inspect for damage or theft, effect repairs and liaise with contractors or emergency services.
* Carry out prescribed procedures for fire, flooding, accident or damage, including liaising with appropriate staff.
* Undertake cleaning procedures in accordance with service guidelines and deal with bodily fluid or spillages safely.
Qualifications
* Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
* Drivers licence required; council vehicle will be provided.
* Willingness to complete additional training and to attend an induction training day before starting.
* Required PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and the relevant PVG scheme.
