Care Assistant - Part Time at Healthcare Ireland Group
Bradley Manor Care Home is part of Healthcare Ireland Group. The home provides tailored support to meet individual needs of residents across three specialist units: Residential Dementia, Dementia Nursing, and General/Frail Elderly Nursing. Bradley Manor is set in a scenic location with views over Belfast, offering a peaceful and uplifting environment for residents and families.
The Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of the frontline team, you will support day-to-day operations, assist with activities of daily living, and provide emotional support and companionship, advocate for residents rights and preferences.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping maintain quality of life.
* Encourage independence and involvement in activities where possible.
* Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting changes in health or behaviour.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Salary
£12.30 per hour
Requirements
Required Criteria
* Right to work in the UK
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A good standard of oral and written English
* A non-judgemental approach to others
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care
* Respectful to residents and to the values and beliefs of other team members
Desirable Criteria
* Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, though not essential as full training will be provided
