Job Title: Purchase Ledger Colleague (Immediate Start) Location: Fully Remote (Optional Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £13.50 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience) Hours of work: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary until end of June 2026 About the Role The Best Connection are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable nationwide client. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis, with an immediate start available. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation offering fully remote working, with the flexibility of hybrid working if you are located near one of their depots. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices while maintaining strong relationships with vendors in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently Perform 3-way matching (purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices) Manage supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly Reconcile supplier statements and investigate variances Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies Support audit processes by providing relevant documentation Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role Experience using Oracle Cloud Financials (highly desirable) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles Good organisational and time management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently in a remote environment as well as part of a wider team Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Desirable Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced finance function AAT qualification or currently studying towards one What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Immediate start available Fully remote working with optional hybrid flexibility Opportunity to gain experience within a reputable national organisation Supportive and collaborative team environment How to Apply If you are an experienced Purchase Ledger professional available to start immediately and looking for a flexible remote opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
