Soldering Technicians - we need you!
We have multiple opportunities to join our Land and Air Systems (LAS) Optronic business unit as manufacturing technicians. In this role, you will work closely with existing team members, Work Cell Manager, and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver outputs from the relevant work cell as per business requirements.
The roles are based at our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, with 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00 am and 7:30 am, with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform complex manufacturing operations according to provided documentation and quality standards.
2. Adhere to company processes when carrying out tasks.
3. Perform self-assessment and approval of products.
4. Support continuous improvement actions within Industry.
5. Detect faults or non-compliance, raise alerts, and contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis.
6. Manage and record build configuration of products.
7. Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) for product assembly tasks.
About you
1. Experience in production or manufacturing departments.
2. Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and identify faults at component level.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
5. Able to secure SC clearance with no restrictions.
Desirable
1. Experience in an industrial/engineering environment.
2. IPC trained and accredited.
3. Electrical/electronic qualifications.
