Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Senior Operations Systems Engineer will ensure that our government customer achieves the desired infrastructure, capabilities, and processes for the deployment of systems and services at the speed of relevance to support C-UAS activities. This engineer will possess the required skills, experience, and credentials at the appropriate clearance level and be responsible for executing collaborative logistics integration and interoperability to enhance command and control, communications, and readiness for our customer.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Provide engineering thought leadership, operational project concepts, and advanced C-UAS meeting support during test and demonstration planning.
2. Maintain the ability to supervise support integration in coordination with C-UAS Field Service Representatives on required systems.
3. Provide recommendations for C-UAS Life-Cycle Project Support, including review of component failure tracking and configuration management.
4. Review system load planning and documentation for equipment shipment and C-UAS systems.
5. Support C-UAS test events, including resource identification, planning, delivery, site setup, daily operations, and retrograde.
6. Coordinate with security personnel to support shipping, receiving, and accountability.
7. Review management of C-UAS Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP).
8. Conduct site surveys of proposed test and training locations to determine site and security requirements.
9. Supervise operational effectiveness and system integration requirements for C-UAS systems and solutions.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Systems Operations, or related field, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
* Minimum 8 years supporting integration for DoD or government C-UAS systems and services.
* Minimum Secret Clearance.
* Experience supporting DoD operations and/or integration activities.
* Ability to lead discussions and work effectively as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal, business management, and customer service skills.
* Proven leadership in operations and systems management for military systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in military system emplacement following manuals and strategic guidance.
Additional Experience:
* TS/SCI Clearance.
* Experience with C-UAS software and hardware integration and logistics.
* Project management or process improvement background.
* Understanding of C-UAS acquisition management and documentation.
* Experience working at military facilities or field bases.
Travel:
Up to 20% based on customer needs.
