We have a fixed term Clinical Fellow post in Trauma & Orthopaedics vacancy (ST1/2 level) to start as soon as possible until 05 August 2025 (with the possibility to extend) at King's Mill Hospital, part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post will be an excellent opportunity for doctors who have completed core training and want to improve clinical and research skills before applying for Specialty Registrar posts in Trauma and Orthopaedics or for those who have completed foundation training and are looking to improve their skills in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
Responsibilities
* Under the supervision of the Consultant provide to the care of patients in the department with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury.
* Referral of patients to appropriate in‑patient facilities as appropriate.
* Involvement in multi‑disciplinary teams and meetings.
* Teaching and supervision of junior staff as appropriate.
* Involvement in relevant administration duties (e.g. rota schedules).
* Active involvement in audit and clinical governance.
* Play an active role in the day‑to‑day management and administration of the department.
* Deputisation duties: Where the post‑holder deputises outside normal contracted duties, an equivalent amount of off‑time will be given.
* Availability for irregular commitments outside normal reserved duties essential for continuity of patient care.
* May be required to work Public Holidays, as per the rota and will receive time off in lieu.
This post is ST1/2 level so previous UK clinical experience is essential.

£52,656 a year pro rata (plus allowances for on‑call working).
