As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll be a trusted expert and role model in infrastructure solutions. You’ll champion best practices across the department, guiding teams to deliver high-quality, secure and scalable infrastructure products. Working closely with Architecture and Engineering colleagues, you’ll help shape the design of services that are built to last.
You’ll take ownership of the full suite of Network Services, collaborating with internal teams, external partners, stakeholders and customers to ensure our networks are stable, robust and always available. Your work will directly support the operational excellence of one of the UK’s most critical public services.

* Lead with impact – manage and improve the work backlog, drive reliability enhancements and lead automation initiatives that free up time for what really matters.
* Design with purpose – create secure, high-availability hybrid cloud connectivity solutions across AWS, Azure, and OCI.
* Deliver with confidence – implement complex technical solutions, manage dependencies and risks and see projects through to successful delivery.
* Communicate with influence – build strong relationships across engineering, support, business users, architecture and third-party suppliers.

It would be beneficial to have experience in the following areas when starting the role:
* Familiarity with network automation coding and techniques (Python and ansible) is a plus.
* Implementing and maintain TLS authentication to ensure secure communication across the network.
* Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP, Arista ACE or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
