Do you enjoy working in a busy environment where no two shifts are the same?
Would you like to work in a highly supportive team with excellent opportunities for development and progression?
If so, our Minor Injury Units are the place for you!
Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have four nurse/paramedic led Minor Injury Units, in Whitchurch, Oswestry, Bridgnorth, and Ludlow, that treat approximately 3000 patients across the service per month. Our aim is to provide care closer to home, avoiding hospital admission where appropriate, and to closely integrate with the Primary Care Network and acute hospitals to support a wider range of conditions.
As an Emergency Practitioner, you will be a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Advanced Physiotherapist. You should have the desire to autonomously assess and treat patients, with excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills, and the ability to lead with a passion for patient-centered care. This role requires working across a shift system covering both MIU Units, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
You will join a multidisciplinary team that prides itself on teamwork and mutual support while treating diverse conditions. There are excellent opportunities for learning and development, with access to a wide range of courses to enhance your clinical skills.
This position offers a challenging but rewarding opportunity to utilize your skills and deliver excellent care to a diverse patient group.
