Longton has a residential property that has been a residential service for over 20 years. The service is located on the outskirts of Longton town centre, well-served by bus routes, with Longton train station just a ten-minute walk away and Stoke Drive approximately a 15-minute drive.
Five of the six PWS residents at the service have been here for over 20 years. They are familiar with the home’s layout, which is spacious and accessible for wheelchair users, featuring communal areas and private bedrooms decorated to residents’ preferences.
PWS enjoy activities such as meals out at local pubs, cinema visits, bowling, gardening, and other garden activities. The home has a therapy dog named Bessie (staff need to like dogs), who has her own support plan, PEEPS, and R/A. Residents also enjoy holidays, day trips, attending Stoke City football matches, watching films, playing bingo, music activities, shopping, arts and crafts, and social gatherings like cake and coffee in the community.
