Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday 18:00pm (Average shift length is 10 hours).
Salary: £46,018 per annum.
1. Report to the transport office at the start of shift
2. Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
3. Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
4. Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
5. Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
6. Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
7. Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
8. Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
9. Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
10. Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
11. Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office
12. Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
13. Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required
14. Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
15. A minimum of 2 years Class 1 experience.
16. Full C+E Entitlement along with CPC & Tacho Card.
17. Experience of Driving Class 1 vehicles.
18. No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
19. Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
20. Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
21. Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
22. Excellent communication skills
