This role, responsible for Purchasing & Supply Chain, is joining a well-established UK manufacturer of processing equipment, with global customers and a strong reputation for quality and service. They are seeking a hands-on Buyer to own purchasing and supplier relationships, ensuring the right materials and parts arrive in time to keep production moving and machines delivered on schedule.
The role of Purchasing and Supply Chain includes: -
* Manage purchasing and supplier relationships
* Raise and track purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system
* Negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery terms
* Monitor stock levels and support production planning
* Coordinate with logistics, service engineers and external partners
* Help resolve delivery, quality and invoice issues
* Spot opportunities to improve processes and performance
To be considered for the role of Purchasing and Supply Chain, you should :-
* Have relevant experience within manufacturing purchasing, supply chain or buying roles
* Be organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
* Be a strong communicator and problem solver
* Have good Excel / Microsoft Office skills
* ERP/MRP experience is a bonus
