My client, a global pharmaceutical company currently have an urgent requirement for a talented Supply Chain Director to join on a permanent basis. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strategic and hands-on supply chain professional with deep expertise in end-to-end operations, planning, systems, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring consistent product availability and high service performance across the region
* Collaborating with senior leaders to resolve operational issues and shape strategic priorities
* Representing the organisation in EMEA executive forums, offering specialist input on supply solutions
* Converting business requirements into practical supply plans and negotiating clear commitments
* Taking end-to-end accountability for team results, escalating risks with strong, solution-focused recommendations
* Sponsoring key strategic initiatives, setting clear goals, monitoring delivery, and removing barriers to progress
* Promoting best-in-class sales and demand planning to support agile and responsive production
* Managing production planning under capacity constraints to meet commercial needs within operational limits
* Strengthening oversight and governance of intercompany and global inventory flows, including ownership transfer processes
* Serving as the accountable lead for supply chain and production components within SAP ERP, maintaining data accuracy and process adherence
* Establishing and tracking KPIs to support continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and reliable service levels
* Maintaining full compliance with GMP, GDP, and all relevant regulatory requirements
Skills & Expertise Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Strong leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, with proven coaching and talent development capability
* Expertise across global supply chain strategy, warehouse management, logistics, demand planning, serialisation, and SAP ERP systems
* Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex stakeholder relationships
* Advanced vendor management and cross-functional engagement ability
* Strong knowledge of GDP/GxP compliance, intercompany transactions, and risk mitigation
* Data-driven mindset with a focus on KPI performance and continuous improvement
* Robust understanding of international trade regulations, including INCOTERMS, customs processes, VAT implications, and navigating challenges such as sanctions, tariffs, and conflict zones
