Legal Secretary Location: Liverpool City Centre Salary: £25,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday - Friday Full time I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established legal firm who are looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to support fee earners and Partners within the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment and providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support. Responsibilities Providing comprehensive secretarial support to Partners, solicitors, and fee earners Audio and copy typing of legal correspondence, reports, court documents and other legal documentation Managing and prioritising instructions received via email from Partners and fee earners Preparing, amending, and formatting legal documents with a high level of accuracy Diary management, including arranging meetings, appointments and managing conflicting priorities Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone calls in a professional manner Liaising with internal departments and external contacts including clients, courts, and third parties Maintaining and updating client files in line with compliance and data protection requirements Using legal case management systems, including BigHand (essential) and Proclaim (desirable) Supporting with billing, file opening, and general administrative duties Ensuring deadlines are met and work is produced to a high standard Working collaboratively as part of a team while also using initiative to manage workload independently The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within a legal firm Confident user of BigHand Experience using Proclaim is desirable but not essential Strong typing and document production skills Excellent organisational and time-management abilities Professional and confident telephone manner Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks A proactive approach with strong attention to detail Benefits 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays Referral bonus scheme Health cash plan (available following successful completion of probation) Pension scheme with the option of salary sacrifice Cycle to work scheme (post-probation) Access to a wellness web app Travel pass (post-probation) Death in service benefit This vacancy is being handled by Aspire Recruitment.
