Commercial & FP&A Director | PE Backed Consumer | London | £DOE + Bonus + Equity + LTIP
We’re currently supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed business that is rapidly expanding its footprint across the UK and international markets. We are hiring a Commercial & FP&A Director to join the executive leadership team and help drive strategic financial decision-making at a critical phase of growth. Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across product categories, channels, and markets
* Provide robust commercial insights around pricing, margin analysis, promotional spend, and return on marketing investment (ROMI)
* Build and manage financial models to evaluate new product launches, channel strategies, and international expansion opportunities
* Deliver executive-ready financial analysis and scenario planning to drive data-led strategic decisions
* Partner with PE investors on reporting, performance tracking, and value creation initiatives
* Lead improvements in commercial finance systems, reporting tools (e.g. Power BI), and controls
* Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a fast-growth environment
Ideal Candidate
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), ideally with a Big 4 Transaction Services, advisory, IB or commercial background
* Experience working in a technology, media, consumer, FMCG, D2C or e-commerce business with a focus on commercial finance, but flexible on industry if can demonstrate transferrable skills.
* Proven success in partnering with C-suite executives and PE investors to shape strategy and deliver performance improvement
* Strong modelling skills and analytical mindset, comfortable building ROI, pricing, and scenario tools in Excel/Power BI
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and commercial insight delivery across product and market dimensions
* Experience to M&A, post-deal integration, growth capital deployment and setting a business up for exit is a huge plus.
* Leadership capability, with a track record of building and empowering finance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
