* Basic Salary £30,000 OTE £37,200

Our client, a main vehicle dealership with sites across the South East, is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician for their busy workshop in the Eastbourne area.

Duties of an MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician with our client
* Complete MOTs in line with government standards within allocated time slots
* Carry out repairs and servicing to vehicles, as instructed, to the highest possible standard
* Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order, follow all documented quality procedures, and comply with repair instructions and manufacturer’s manuals
* Obtain necessary technical information by following documented procedures, attend training, and stay updated with latest technical information
* Plan, carry out, check, and test all work to the highest standard and efficiency; report repair difficulties immediately
* Accurately report and record work done, tests carried out, and vehicle faults; report any further work required
* Protect and care for customers' and the company's property; drive and road test vehicles following procedures
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area; remove scrap immediately after repairs
* Follow health and safety guidelines
* Maintain good relationships with staff and customers
* Perform additional duties as agreed with management
What our client expects of their MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician
* Experience within a main dealer environment as an MOT Tester/Technician
* Class 4 MOT Licence
* Competency in numeracy and literacy
* Strong attention to detail
* Good organisation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Team player
* Ideally NVQ Level 3 Qualified or equivalent
* MOT Licence
* Right to work within UK
