The Role
We’re inviting applications for a Senior Transport Planner to join the Manchester Transport Planning team. We’re a long-established and stable team working on some of the most significant and exciting development projects across Manchester and the North West.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Lead Projects: Manage various projects and ensure effective communication with the team.
* Client Engagement: Represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants.
* Quality Management: Oversee the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) processes on all projects.
* Resource Management: Manage project resources efficiently.
* Training and Development: Provide technical support and training to junior team members.
The ideal person will:
* Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent) and be actively working towards a professional qualification.
* Have significant experience as a Transport Planner, ideally in a similar consultancy environment.
* Have an appreciation of current design standards; preparing project briefings and leading on design reviews and key stage reviews throughout the life of the project.
* Be comfortable managing multiple client expectations and contributing to project meetings.
* Be commercially aware and have some understanding of project finance.
* Have experience developing concept designs and conducting design reviews and meeting quality management standards.
