Are you a technical project manager who wants to manage the delivery of server infrastructure, Microsoft Azure and network projects for a growing Northampton-based business?
Due to an increasing pipeline of customer and internal projects, NAK immediately needs a Senior Technical Project Manager based in Northampton on a hybrid basis.
What Is the Role?
There are three principal parts to your role as a Senior Technical Project Manager with NAK:
Customer Project Delivery (70%):
* Act as NAK’s Senior Supplier for the delivery of projects to customers, including the matrix management and mentorship of NAK Delivery and Project Managers.
* Directly manage the delivery of selected professional and managed service projects to customers according to the NAK Client Project Delivery process.
Internal Project Delivery (20%):
* Overall responsibility for all internal NAK projects, including the matrix management and mentorship of NAK Delivery and Project Managers.
* Directly manage the delivery of selected projects according to the NAK Internal Project Delivery process.
Project Delivery Process Engineering (10%):
* Own and lead the ongoing refinement and enhancement of NAK's processes for the delivery of client and internal projects.
What Skills and Experience Do You Need?
* A pedigree of five years (or more) in technical project management.
* Previous career experience in a technical discipline, such as server infrastructure or networks.
* The ability to manage (sometimes competing) internal and stakeholder demands wisely and with discipline.
* Demonstrable experience handling pressure and conflict (with internal and external stakeholders) assertively and professionally.
* Hands-on, practical knowledge of using PRINCE2 to deliver projects.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be confident to communicate at every level within small and large enterprises, effectively escalating wherever necessary.
* Strong, self-disciplined time management and organisational skills.
* Proven commercial awareness, including a track record of managing projects within cost constraints.
What Other Skills and Experience Are Useful?
* Current PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification.
* An understanding of agile project management and delivery approaches, including Lean and Kanban.
* Exposure to Microsoft Azure or Zero Trust Networks.
What Does NAK Offer in Return?
* An annual salary of £65,000 - £75,000, depending on your experience.
