We are looking for a dedicated Admin Assistant/Receptionist to provide an efficient reception service and clerical (including finance) support to the school.
* The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week across two days (Thursday and Friday, 8am – 4:30pm with a 60‑minute unpaid break each day).
* This is a 38‑week‑per‑year role (term time only).
A Day in the Life
Key Responsibilities include:
* Acting as the first point of contact for both telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries.
* Ensuring school security arrangements are always complied with, including the issue of visitor badges and signing‑in procedures, and updating the school’s electronic sign‑in system to ensure smooth running.
* Taking responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the manual and computerised pupil data records, including attendance details.
* Sending and receiving messages via the school’s Management Information System (MIS) to maintain effective communication with parents/carers.
* Carrying out financial administration in accordance with appropriate financial regulations and policies.
What We're Looking For
You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:
* Experience of administrative work in a busy office environment.
* Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Knowledge of general school policies and procedures.
* Good organisational skills.
* An understanding of and the ability to implement the school’s behaviour management policy.
* An understanding of and the ability to implement child protection procedures.
