Great opportunity for a Delivery Driver to work within a motivated team. This role involves working with local pharmacy teams to conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing, and residential homes. Delivery Drivers play a vital role in our patient community and are an integral part of the pharmacy team. Being part of Day Lewis means joining a family business committed to its core values.
We are seeking experienced Delivery Drivers to join us and contribute to making positive community impacts. A GPhC-accredited Delivery Driver Course is advantageous but not essential. You will report directly to the Pharmacist Manager, supporting the provision of advanced and enhanced services.
Responsibilities:
1. Collect prescriptions from the pharmacy and deliver to patients as per standard operating procedures.
2. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for audit purposes.
3. Pick up prescriptions from other pharmacies in the area if required.
4. Provide high standards of customer service.
5. Present a professional image as a company ambassador.
6. Follow all company procedures and protocols.
7. Respect customer confidentiality and adhere to the Data Protection Act.
The current schedule is mornings; however, for holiday cover, flexibility is available to accommodate other jobs.
Details:
* Approximate 15 hours per week.
* Option 1: 0-hour driver - £12.50 per hour, paid on the 27th of the following month (or after the 10th working day).
* Use of the company car.
* Option 2: £2 per drop, invoiced weekly as a self-employed driver (own car required, no additional pay).
