About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to join a network of leading care providers in Grantham and surrounding area's on a temporary basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Partake in daily activities with young people, be involves in fun games.
* May be on 1:1 with young people
* Assist Young people with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
* Assist with feeding and ensuring you people receive the appropriate nutrition and hydration
* Record vital signs and update care records.
* Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
* Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with young people.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for young people.
* Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
* Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a Childcare setting
* Experience caring for young people with Learning Disabilities / challenging behaviours / Autism / ADHD
* Trained to use hoists and other moving & handling equipment
* A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
* Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
* Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
* Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of young people
* Ability to build positive relationships with young people
* Medication training is beneficial but not essential
* A valid UK driving license is required as you will be expected to travel between different care clients
