Senior BMS & Smart Buildings Consultant | Leading Global Consultancy (Confidential)

We're supporting a global consultancy expanding its digital‑built‑environment team and looking for an experienced BMS / Smart Buildings Consultant to join their growing practice.
What you’ll do
* Lead workstreams across digital, smart‑building and optimisation projects
* Review and improve existing BMS to enhance energy and operational performance
* Develop control philosophies, sequences of operation and system integration strategies
* Analyse BMS trend data to uncover inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities
* Provide specialist input across new‑build and retrofit smart‑building programmes
* Collaborate with clients, vendors and multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to thought leadership and technical strategy within the Smart Buildings team
What you’ll bring
* Strong background in BMS design, configuration and performance optimisation
* Understanding of HVAC controls, metering, lighting and building‑systems integration
* Knowledge of key protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, MQTT, APIs etc.)
* Experience using BMS analytics tools (Niagara, Trend IQVision, EcoStruxure)
* Awareness of OT cybersecurity in smart‑building environments
* Engineering degree or equivalent
Nice to have
* Smart Building project experience (UK preferred)
* Energy‑services / building‑performance background
* Familiarity with IPMVP, M&V processes, FDD or CAFM platforms
