The role
- Ideal opportunity for a recent graduate
- Fixed term contract for two years
- Train to participate in drills and emergencies as a member of the SERS on-call team
- Prepare and maintain computer models of marine assets
- Develop and maintain emergency response tools and procedures
- Develop and deliver training internally and externally
- Undertake consultancy projects
- Pursue continual professional development, to keep up to date with current vessel operations and technology trends.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years program) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer
- Fresh graduate or Maximum 2 years of experience
- The ability to pay attention to details
- The ability to work towards set timelines
- The ability to work with speed and accuracy even when under time pressure
- Excellent communication skills appropriate to the audience
- Excellent command of the English language
- Demonstrated skills in coordinating projects
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution and working towards chartered status.
- The following would be beneficial: Awareness of ship operations, Experience with 2D/3D modelling software, Existing right to work in the UK.
