What You Will Do:
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Management, Operational Support, and Sales to drive the ongoing evolution of product features and architecture. You'll play a key role in maintaining and upholding high standards, ensuring they are both set and achieved.

People Management
* Conduct regular 1:1 meeting’s focused on personal development and performance management.
* Support the communication of company vision, objectives, and progress to the team.
* Oversee recruitment and staffing plans to ensure team capacity aligns with business needs.
Software Product Engineering Practice
* Deliver on team commitments and maintain a stable customer platform.
* Continuously improve development velocity and quality.
* Work with Product Management to ensure a clear product vision and a well-defined work pipeline.
* Partner with Security to regularly assess and resolve code and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
* Ensure software development teams have the necessary tools and support while adhering to organizational standards.
Financial & Supplier Management
* Align recruitment plans with budget constraints.
* Forecast and manage supplier costs efficiently.
* Ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations and deliver cost-effective services.
* Mitigate risks by avoiding over-reliance on specific suppliers.
Strategic Management
* Align departmental plans with the company’s vision and strategic direction.
* Stay informed about industry trends in software development and assess their impact on team structures and processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
* University Degree or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
* Demonstrable experience of working within an Agile team delivering SaaS Software
* Experience of full stack software development (coding)
* Experience of Cloud Computing (AWS preferred)
* Experience of Information Security Techniques
* ALM Tools such as Jira or AzureDevOps
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience managing technology teams in a product-oriented organization
Qualifications We Prefer:
* Experience of Scaled Agile Framework
* Experience with customer & commercial management
* Degree in Computer Science
* Aviation background
* Knowledge of ACARS Message Processing
