We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team within a well-established care home in Chelmsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong culinary professional with proven chef management experience in a similar environment such as a care home, healthcare setting, retirement village, or large-scale catering operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
* Planning and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents dietary needs
* Managing stock control, ordering, and kitchen budgets
* Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and CQC standards
* Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and food safety standards
* Working closely with care staff and management to provide an outstanding dining experience for residents
Requirements:
* Extensive Chef Management experience within a care home or similar healthcare environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent knowledge of nutrition, allergens, and special dietary requirements
* Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification preferred
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for delivering high-quality food and service
