Wesbart UK are recruiting a CAD designer to join the team. All applicants must have at least three years CAD experience.
Wesbart UK are leading global manufactures of aluminium and stainless steel storage systems for use in hospitals, universities, research institutes and laboratories.
Wesbart UK is a family run company which has been established for over 40 years now employing 28 members of staff at our 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Billingshurst, West Sussex.
The successful applicant ideally should have sheet metal experience or a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and a passion for creating precise and innovative designs. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development of various products, collaborating with engineers and production operators to bring concepts to life.
Duties
* Develop detailed CAD drawings and schematics using industry-standard software.
* Collaborate with project/ sales teams to understand design requirements and specifications.
* Create 3D models and visualisations using tools such as Radan or SolidWorks. (Currently the Company operates Radan software)
* Prepare technical documentation and reports to support design proposals.
* Conduct regular reviews and updates of designs for production.
* Maintain an organised database of design files and documentation for easy access by team members.
* Upload drawings to Company IT systems including raising works orders, including BOM.
* Occasional contact with clients to discuss design and improvements.
* Office administration tasks.
* Liaising with suppliers and placing orders for materials. Sage accounts experience or similar required.
* Reporting updates to the Production Manager including product changes .

* Strong understanding of engineering principles related to design.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings .
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design issues effectively.
* Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting ideas clearly.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
