Airswift are currently recruiting for a Lead Principal Planner based at Wilton on a 12 month contract duration. The Lead Principal Planner will lead the overall planning effort across the program for the Project Execution in the United Kingdom. This will include development and management of the Overall Primavera EPS for the project to ensure a consistent approach. Development of the programme structure, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), calendars and dates to be used by the Project, aligned with the Cost Break Down Structure (CBS). A key competency will be the candidates ability to co-ordinate of inputs in multiple time zones from all functional areas also directly supporting area planners, package managers and/or getting involved in the detailed development of plans where planners are yet to be mobilised. Arranging and chairing interactive planning sessions with each of the Project Area project teams coordination between the areas to ensure all interfacing between packages are properly scheduled to support on time delivery and that there is a buy in to the agreed schedules across the Program. Other duties will include: Ensuring the programme meets all required access dates, milestones, and key dates in compliance with the Clients Planning requirements, contract data and works information. Contributing to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures. Work with the Head of Planning and Project Management to ensure a consistent approach. Interfacing with and provide planning data for other functional teams and stakeholders including, but not limited to: design, estimation, construction and commissioning. Progress monitoring and regular updating of the programme, including forecasting of potential problem areas and mitigation proposals as required. Liaision with the Project Controls Manager, Reporting Manager and Change Management in all related programme matters. Liaise with the client’s planning team, stakeholders and with other works packages to communicate the client’s Construction Planning approach and to ensure sharing of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement. Pursuing excellence and continuous improvement of the client’s construction planning approach, modification of standard processes and procedures for effective and continuously improvement. Appraisal, review and assessment of supply chain programmes and inclusion in main programme as required. Minimal a bachelor's degree in engineering preferably with training in financial management techniques (or equivalent). Experience in engineering & contracting or in a similar industry in a supervisory capacity as a Project Planning Manager on major/large projects EPC or EPCM experience Previous experience with financial management and estimating Proven ability to co-ordinate work prior experience in planning function in a multidisciplinary environment Knowledge of the development and implementation of asset structures, planning standards, WBS and planning processes. Competence in Primavera P6, Primavera Risk and Suretrack Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management Strong communication skills
